Meet Craig, a charity runner and a change maker
Craig Oulton ran two marathons barefoot in a span of 5 months to raise money for our charity. He ran the Lewa marathon barefoot in June 2022 . 4 months later he announced his intention to do his first tarmac all barefoot in the Nairobi marathon. In both races, his mental strength was very strong and he finished both races well. He raised a total of $11000 which will help sponsor 20 new students in 2023.
Last year ,he ran Highlands ultra (125km) in 3 days, 30 hours 34 minutes and placed 20th overall. He raised more than $5000. Thanks to all those who donated to support the cause.
This year, he will take part in one of the toughest foot races on the planet – the BTU Namibia Desert Ultra starting on 25th Nov 2025. Visit his page to donate and share his challenge with your running community and friends
Miles That Change Lives
Craig Oulton has transformed endurance running into lasting impact. Through multiple barefoot marathons and ultra-distance races across Africa and beyond, Craig has raised over $30,000 in support of our charity.
From the Lewa Marathon and Nairobi Marathon, to the Highland Ultra and the Namibia Desert Ultra (250 km, unsupported), every challenge Craig has taken on has been driven by one purpose: expanding access to education for bright, underprivileged children.
Each mile run has helped open doors to classrooms, books, and opportunity—proving that determination on the trail can create meaningful change in young lives.
“Every step forward brings a child closer to education—and a future filled with possibility.”
Craig’s journey shows that when passion meets purpose, the impact can go far beyond the finish line.
